Adonidia

1 species. Adonidia merrillii is native to Palawan Island in the Philippines. It is a very common landscaping palm often available under the name Veitchia merrillii or the Christmas palm. Its fruits are bright red and very ornamental. Unfortunately, it is highly susceptible to lethal yellowing disease. It also appears to be invasive in irrigated South Florida landscapes.
